It is with heartfelt sadness that we share the passing of our dear SEIU brother, Ronald Lee. Ronald was a dedicated and loving husband, father and friend.
Born in Hong Kong, Ronald moved to Canada in 1982. His first job was at Participation House, which began his career in healthcare. In 1993 he became a PSW at Pace Independent Living and has since worked there for the past 20 years.
Often described as pleasant and soft-spoken, Ronald was passionate and motivated to take action about workers’ rights, and became a Member Organizer in 2014. He shared his personal journey and inspired and empowered other healthcare workers across Ontario to not be afraid and know their rights in the workplace.

Ronald liked to read books and once shared, “Never judge a book by it’s cover. Same with humans- don’t judge the outside of a person. The inside is what counts.”
He inspired many people through example and kindness. We will truly miss him.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
