We’re asking all SEIU Healthcare Members to become agents of change and show their purple pride at the events listed below this Labour Day Weekend. We look forward to your participation!

Brantford & District Labour Council Soap Box Derby, Open House and BBQ
When: Monday, September 7
Location:
Brantford DLC Labour Centre, 1100 Clarence Street South, Brantford
Time: Soap Box Derby: 8am to noon/Open House/BBQ: Noon to 2:30pm
Cambridge/Kitchener-Waterloo (Waterloo Region Labour Council) Labour Day Picnic in the Park
When: Monday, September 7
Location: Waterloo Park
Time: Noon to 4pm
Other Details: BBQ & Refreshments will be available for sale, free music, balloons, face painting, rides & games, parking available off Father David Bauer Drive & University Ave.
Goderich - Huron & District Labour Council Labour Day Parade
When: Saturday, September 5
Location: The Livery, South Street, Goderich Town Square
Time: Meet at 11:15am. Parade starts at 11:30am.
Hamilton Community Services Labour Day Parade & Picnic
When: Monday, September 7
Location: Members can meet between 9:30am-9:45am at York Blvd, west of Queen St. Parade route is 2 hours ending at Dundern Historic Park for a BBQ.
Time: 9:30am to 3:30pm
Merritton Community (St. Catharines) Labour Day Parade
When: Monday, September 7
Location: Parade Assembles at the Pen Centre Glendale Ave. and ends at the  Carnival Grounds at Merritton Community Centre.
Time: Parade moves out at 11am sharp!
North Bay & District Labour Council Labour Day Picnic
When: Monday, September 7
Location: North Bay Waterfront
Time: Flag March is at 11am, followed by BBQ at 12pm (Free)
Other Details: Games for kids.
North Simcoe Muskoka and District Labour Council Picnic
When: Monday, September 7
Location: Couchiching Park, Orillia
Time: 11am to 3pm
Other Details: Join us for a BBQ, games and music.
Ottawa & District Labour Council Labour Day March
When: Monday, September 7
Location: Members can gather at Ottawa City Hall (Elgin St./Lisgar St.). March begins at 12pm and ends at McNabb Park. Picnic at McNabb Park (Gladstone Ave./Bronson Ave.)
Time: Noon to 4pm
Other Details: Free balloons, music, pony rides, drinks, hot dogs, corn,  games, face painting and clowns.
Peel Regional Labour Council Labour Day Picnic
When: Saturday, September 5
Location: Heart Lake, Conservation Area, 10818 Heart Lake Road, Brampton
Time: Noon to 4pm
Other Details: Food & Beverage served until 2pm. Entertainment for all. Please bring a non-perishable food item for donation.
Peterborough & District Labour Council Labour Day Picnic
When: Monday, September 7
Location: Nicols Oval, Peterborough
Time: Noon to 4pm
Sarnia & District Labour Council Labour Day Parade
When: Monday, September 7
Location: Starts at Sarnia Library and ends at Centennial Park
Time: Parade begins at 9:30am
Toronto Labour Day Parade
When: Monday, September 7
Location: Members can meet at 8:30am on the East side of University Ave. (North of Armoury Street to Dundas St. W.)
Time: Parade begins at 9:30am sharp!
Other Details: Parade will end at the CNE gates and includes free admission for those marching with us. To register for the Toronto Parade, call the MRC at 1-877-672-7348.
