On October 7 – 13, SEIU Healthcare will celebrate the important work food service workers perform in our hospitals, nursing and retirement homes, and other healthcare facilities across Ontario.

Preparing food in our healthcare facilities isn’t just about making a lunch. They help ensure patients, residents and clients eat well-prepared meals that are healthy and enjoyable. They also keep our healthcare cafeterias and kitchens clean and sanitary. It’s all about therapeutic diet preparation that’s critical to their healing and overall well being.

Healthcare Food Service Workers Week is celebrated every year. It builds enthusiasm and pride for the quality work healthcare food service employees provide every day on the job.
