Over 22,000 Ontario workers took to the streets on Monday morning to march for dignity and respect on the job. Teachers, nurses, firefighters, actors and union groups from across GTA attended.
“This year’s Labour Day Parade was one of the best experiences for our members,” said SEIU’s Director of Member Engagement Tyler Downey. “We showed yet again why SEIU is the best union to be a part of.”
SEIU participated in other labour day celebrations throughout Ontario, including Brantford, Goderich, Hamilton, North Bay, Northumberland, Ottawa, and St. Catharines.
