SEIU Healthcare was encouraged by the priorities outlined by Minister Eric Hoskins in his “Patients First: Action Plan on Health Care” speech at the Empire Club in Toronto today.
“We were encouraged to hear the Ontario Government action plan on healthcare for the next three years, specifically its recommitment to investments in home and community care services to help solve the challenges that come with an aging population,” said Sharleen Stewart, President of SEIU Healthcare.
"The Minister knows that a key way forward to sustaining our public healthcare system while managing costs is to provide care options to people at home, where they feel most comfortable."
“We look forward to working with this government over the next three years to deliver on these commitments.”
