The Leadership Academy is Coming to Cambridge!

This October, we are launching a special Leadership Academy course in Cambridge, Ontario for all SEIU Healthcare members in the Cambridge and surrounding areas who have never participated in the Academy before.

SEIU Healthcare's Leadership Academy is a member development program designed to give you the skills and tools needed to be an effective activist, leader and voice in your workplace. It's time to become the leader you were born to be!

The Leadership Academy was born from a commitment made at Convention 2015 to develop 5000 member activists from amongst our membership to fight for fairness and respect for all healthcare workers.

There is no experience necessary. We'll teach you everything you need to develop your skills in public speaking, communication, recruitment, political activism, mentoring and facilitation.

The Cambridge program spans two sessions held on Saturdays in October. Between sessions, participants will complete online learning and member engagement assignments. Upon the completion of the program, and the participation in one of the mandatory Community Outreach Days (October 28th or November 4th), graduates will receive a framed certificate and be eligible to attend the Leadership Assembly this December.

Dates: October 14 and 21

Time: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Location: Langs Community Health Wellness Centre, 1145 Concession Road, Cambridge, Ontario
